Make Caesar dressing in minutes with this easy Caesar Salad Dressing Mix! However it’s not just for salad dressing, this mix can also be used as a seasoning for chicken, seafood or vegetables! One batch of this mix will make 4 separate dressing recipes.
We finally had some good weather, which means Pat and I did some major yard work. Haileigh’s graduation party is quickly approaching and we have a long to-do list and the Michigan weather has not been cooperating. We weeded our tomato and pepper garden, my herb garden and ripped out grass and weeds from an overgrown flowerbed. I am now sporting some great tan lines. My back? fried. My front? nada. I look ridiculous. However my flowerbeds never looked better.
For dinner we made Caesar salads and I thankfully had some of this Caesar salad dressing mix in my fridge and I whipped up a delicious dressing in seconds. I’m not kidding. It’s better than store bought and just as easy! However this mix isn’t just for salad dressing making. NOPE. I sprinkle it on grilled fish, vegetables and chicken. It’s so good!
With that said, stay tuned because I’ll be sharing the salad dressing recipe soon.
TO MAKE THIS Caesar salad DRESSING MIX YOU WILL NEED:
- 2/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
First, measure all of the ingredients into a container that has a tight fitting lid.
And then stir to combine. It’s really that easy.
I’m sure this goes without saying, but because of the parmesan cheese this needs to be stored in the refrigerator.

I missed the part about how to incorporate it as a dressing… what liquids do you use to do that? Sounds divine. Can’t wait to mix this up!

This recipe has nothing in common with a Caesar Dressing, except the grated Parmesan cheese. Where is the coddled egg, the anchovies, the dash of Woreschire Sauce, and on and on?
Not meaning to be picky, but you just can’t “invent” a dressing, dry or wet, and name it the same as the famous one that has been “invented” long ago.

Hi Frank! First, thanks for stopping by! Secondly, this recipe is a dressing mix that when combined with other ingredients can be made into a quick Caesar Dressing. I’m fully aware of the ingredients that are in Caesar Dressing (check out my recipe here: https://www.simplyscratch.com/2014/06/caesar-salad-with-homemade-caesar-dressing-and-croutons.html) and the fun thing about being a food blogger and developing recipes is that I CAN create a recipe and call it whatever I want. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you give this a try, who knows, maybe it will change your mind. 🙂

I think your link to turning it into a dressing is broke. I tried the two on the mix page and they just reloaded the mix page
